Nominations for Elections for Executive Officers for the Maryland Professional Employee Council have been closed and the ballot has been set.

In accordance with the MPEC constitution, the election will be conducted by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed to the last known address of all MPEC members in good standing.

Ballots are due back to the Maryland Professional Employee Council Elections Committee by 1:00pm on May 23rd, 2016 by US Mail.

Citizens across Maryland took to the polls on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 to elect new leaders for everything from President of the United States to local judges. Members of AFT-Maryland, and supporters of candidates across Baltimore City and Baltimore County volunteered their efforts and time to back union endorsed candidates.

Labor was out in full force at Lawyers Mall in Annapolis as the AFL-CIO held their annual legislative rally on Monday, March 21st, to promote and advance issues important to organized labor. There was a wide range of support from a cross section of labor unions. Electricians, steamfitters and plumbers, government employees, teachers, and health care professionals were among the many who were in attendance.
