State Signs Contract with MPEC!
This is a big win for State Employees and Collective Bargaining in general. On Monday, March 24, 2008, at three PM, MPEC will formally sign the MOU negotiated with the State and ratified by Unit G employees. This MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) is the new two-year labor agreement which outlines the rights, benefits and working conditions of Unit G employees and puts them in writing for the first time in several years. The Governor will sign for the State and representing Unit G employees, MPEC’s President will sign.
